Junko has been leading worship at her church, at retreats, at Bible Studies, and at her concerts since her teenage years. Even though she is becoming more known for her children's music ministry of late, she is still a worship leader at heart. That's why she put together this compilation CD of her previously recorded songs and hymns of meditation plus one brand new worship song which became the title track -- "The Lord's Renown." These songs will assist you in your quiet times, encourage you as you go about your day, and help you cultivate a heart of worship no matter what you are doing.

Junko wrote many of these songs as a brand new mother, and many of the songs reflect the joys and trials of her new season in life. "Christ Dwells in Your Heart" is one which she wrote as a prayer for her children. "As for Me and My House" is her own interpretation of Joshua 24:15, while "I Will Rejoice" is her commitment to praise the Lord in all circumstances, as per Habakkuk 3:17-18. "Practicing the Presence of God" is a song which comes from Brother Andrew's words that no matter what our calling in life, we ought to always be doing everything wholehearted as unto the Lord.

As usual she includes several hymns on this CD, two of which are recorded partially in Japanese: "This is My Father's World," and "Come Thou Fount." Meanwhile, "The Sacrifice of God" has become a standard worship song at her home church and beyond. All in all, this is the album about which Junko has said, "I can finally say with confidence that I am a singer AND a songwriter!"

Beautifully produced by John Andrew Schreiner with his signature, lush keyboard arrangements, this 13-song collection of classic Christmas tunes includes some songs in Japanese--"O Holy Night," "What Child is This," "Silent Night," and "Great is Thy Faithfulness"--and even one in Latin: "Ave Maria." Other songs (in English!) are such Holiday favorites as "Joy to the World," "Hark! Junko's second album showcases her continuing growth as a musician and begins her on-going partnership with the award-winning producer John Andrew Schreiner (Fernando Ortega, Crystal Lewis, The Kry, etc.). The title track, "Live in Harmony," went to #2 for several weeks on KAIM radio in Hawaii and is included in the award-winning Hawaiian compilation album Praising Him Island Style. Another favorite, "All I Know," also went to Top 10 on KAIM radio.

The classic hymn "Be Thou My Vision," in which Junko sings a verse in Japanese, helped her win the Grand Prize in the Nikkei Karaoke Competition and a ticket to the international finale in Tokyo in 1995, thus beginning her concert ministry in Japan. This album also contains the over-the-top fun Christmas song, "Extra, Extra," and the often-requested tribute song for teachers, "Everyday Hero." This CD has been widely distributed in U.S., Japan, Australia, Brazil, and even South Africa.
